VK Law Corporation (“VK Law”), a well-established law firm in Kimberley, BC, is seeking a dedicated Articled Student to join our team beginning September 1, 2025 (flexible start date). The Role

This position offers exceptional hands-on experience primarily in family law, working directly alongside our experienced family lawyer. You will gain comprehensive exposure to all aspects of family law practice, from divorce and separation agreements to parenting disputes and property division. You will also gain exposure to immigration law, wills and estates, and general civil litigation.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with family law files from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents
• Conduct legal research and case preparation
• Attend court proceedings throughout the East Kootenay
• Client interviews and file management

What We're Looking For

• Law school graduate eligible for articles in British Columbia
• Strong interest in a rural, family law practice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (travel to nearby communities is required)
• Genuine interest in establishing long-term roots in our community
